Welcome to Almost Home Infant Care!
Here at Almost Home, we believe your child is a unique individual. Your child will receive love and personal care and attention that will allow him or her to develop their skills at their own pace.
The staff at Almost Home have innate desire to care for children. We are here because we believe it is our life’s calling.
We invite you to stop by for a visit anytime during out hours of operation:
Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Above and Beyond
At Almost Home, we go above and beyond what is required of us because we are most interested in providing the best possible care for your child.
How do we demonstrate this?
For example, Kentucky regulations only require that diapers be changed once every two hours. At Almost Home, we go above and beyond by changing our babies every hour because their health and comfort matter to us. Of course, if they are “sleeping like babies” we let them rest and change them when they awaken.
Kentucky regulations require a ratio of 1 teacher per 5 infants. At Almost Home, we go above and beyond and off a lower ration of 1 teacher per 3 babies. On rare occasions due to staffing schedules our ratio may fall to 1 teacher per 4 babies. But, this is the rare exception rather than the rule.
Lactation Room
At Almost Home, we understand all the benefits breastfeeding has for babies and their mothers. That’s why we created a Lactation Room.
If you wish to continue breastfeeding your child once you have enrolled them at Almost Home, you will appreciate the comfort and privacy we afford you with our Lactation Room. Our Lactation Room is a feature that you won’t find at most daycares. Yet, for us, it seemed only natural. It’s just another way that we go “above and beyond” to make your child feel at home.
Newsletter
Parent/caregiver communication is an important part of your child’s care. At Almost Home, we not only communicate with our parents on a daily basis, we also publish a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed.
Baby-Gram
At Almost Home, we understand that parents want and need to know about their child’s day. At the end of each day, our parents receive a Baby-Gram that details their infant’s daily activities including all diaper changes, time and amount of feedings, notes about any special activities from the day, and any other important information.
Holiday Celebrations
Holidays are fun! At Almost Home, we encourage our babies to participate in celebrating holidays. Sometimes we do arts and crafts. Other times, we dress up. But, we always take pictures! Check out the pictures of our babies enjoying the festivities!
Graduation
A baby’s first year is an amazing one. During their first year, they grow and develop at a quicker pace than any other stage in their life. At Almost Home, we think this deserves a celebration. On your child’s last day of enrollment at Almost Home, they “graduate” fro our program. Parents receive commemorative picture of their baby dressed in a graduation cap and gown and their diploma.
